Standard CNC (Computer Numerical Controlled) machines are not designed to run efficiently from renewable energy sources like solar. We saw this as a problem not only for ourselves, but manufacturing in general. When we first researched the concept of using a CNC powered entirely by solar energy, we were told it was impossible. 

In 2012, we responded with the construction of H.E.R.I. (High Efficiency Renewable Inputs). We built H.E.R.I. from scratch, redesigning the electrical control systems to be much more efficient than standard CNC machines.

H.E.R.I. can run on the same amount of power it takes to run a blender. It is the cornerstone of our business and an example to other manufacturers of what can be done when you design your business around efficiency.
